Pierre Denis de la Ronde,
was on Gen. Andrew Jackson's staff and a Commander of the Louisiana Militia during the Battle of New Orleans.
His father, of the same name, built Versailles Plantation. His mother was Madeleine Broutin.
He had 10 children, 9 of which were daughters. The only son had no chidren.
